The Xsigo I/O Director™ consolidates server I/O in order to simplify management and increase server utilization. Xsigo’s I/O Virtualization Solution replaces a server’s multiple Ethernet and Fibre Channel interfaces with a single high-speed, low-latency InfiniBand link and enables the creation of multiple virtual Ethernet interfaces (vNICs) and virtual Fibre Channel interfaces (vHBAs) that communicate over the InfiniBand link. The virtual interfaces are established using Xsigo’s virtualization hardware and Xsigo’s host drivers.
